Sports Ball Guide

In this series of guides, we’re gonna cover the differences between our different ball’s sizes and construction quality. You’ll find the tables separated for each sport.

Sports Balls are made up of 3 components:

  • Bladder
  • Rubber composition of outer
  • Grip

Bladder
Silver Fern Sport only uses Hi Air Retention Bladders to ensure you are not continually having to inflate your balls. All Bladders lose pressure over time due to their semi porous nature.

Rubber Composition
Essentially the better the quality the softer the rubber as this gives better performance. However this performance is off set by durability. This is why trainer balls don’t have the same Grip and feel as an expensive match ball.

Grip
We have done extensive testing to come up with our grip patterns and believe they provide excellent grip in all situations.
