Silver Fern is...

A sports equipment brand specialising in Rugby & Netball. The oldest ball manufacturer in New Zealand, established circa 1950.

The original company was acquired by All-Black star Lin Colling in the 70s, where he took business to the next level and became the main equipment supplier and the official Size 5 Ball for the All Blacks between the 1980s and 1990s.

Today, we carry that legacy, striving to keep improving every step of the way, taking big pride in our constant product development and our commitment to take great care of our customers.

We currently sell our products across the globe, with our main markets being Australia, New Zealand & the United Kingdom.

It simulates a real opposition scrum. Designed to apply 1.6 tonne of pressure with an advanced patented Rail System.

Grassroots Sports Ambassador

We run the Pass it Forward campaign in New Zealand.

In partnership with Rebel Sport and the Tania Dalton Foundation we have donated over 100,000 balls to clubs and schools.

The mission of this campaign is to remove one of the barriers to participation by providing a ball to those in need. That's why for every Pass It Forward ball sold through Rebel Sport, we donate an identical ball to a deserving Kiwi club or school.

Every kid deserves the chance to play sport.
